The Harley-Davidson Motor Company Corporate Headquarters in Milwaukee, WI is the site where the first H-D factory - a wooden shed - was built in 1903 in the backyard of the William C. Davidson family home. Join our team as a Sr Risk Analyst.
Job Summary
This position is responsible for managing and analyzing all insurance coverage needs for the corporation and subsidiaries as well as supporting in the negotiating, marketing and placement of global insurance policies. The Senior Risk Analyst will interact with personnel at insurance brokerages, insurance companies, suppliers and contractors. The role will also interact with the Companys various business units in the review of contractual requirements to determine if risks should be avoided, transferred, or retained thus minimizing risks to H-D. This position serves as a resource for all H-D departments and divisions for evaluation of their insurance activities, and contract-related needs and concerns. The Senior Risk Analyst will be required to keep abreast on current industry trends and developments and issue formal management recommendations to react and respond accordingly.
This position is also responsible for maintaining and prioritizing a high volume of day to day tasks to achieve desired results associated with the Companys insurance programs internally and externally, as well as domestically and internationally.
Job Responsibilities
Coordinate annual global insurance renewals including material compilation, timely distribution and collection of exposure data from H-D stakeholders, all the required applications, exposure data and corporate materials.
Analyze all exposure data for changes and accuracy.
Analyze all insurance policy wording to ensure contract clarity.
Analyze and manage information related to the companys property, casualty, and executive lines insurance policies, and surety bond programs.
Assist in the development of coverage specifications and endorsements to submit to brokers and/or underwriters.
Assist in the marketing and placement strategies of all global coverage lines.
Review insurance binders and policies for corrections, language amendments and clarity, and endorsements for compliance with proposals and H-D underwriting requirements.
Analyze and process all invoices for insurance premiums within his/her authority and forward to Risk Manager if outside his/her authority in a timely manner.
Coordinate audits of insurance programs.
Manage Certificate of Insurance review and tracking process with third-party vendor and escalate issues to responsible departments as necessary.
Evaluate company risk management policies and procedures and actively engage to edit and create new procedures as efficiencies are created or gained.
Interact with external stakeholders including insurance brokers, insurance companies, H-D suppliers and contractors.
Review contracts and agreements to assess, mitigate and secure H-D contractual liabilities and provide insurance advice in compliance with Risk Management guidelines and best practices. Determine if risks should be avoided, transferred or retained to minimize the risk to H-D.
Provide risk management guidance and support to all Departments, Divisions, and Subsidiaries. Provide input into current and proposed risk management practices to ensure insurance protection or provide guidance to minimize risks.

Bachelor's Degree Preferred
Education Specifications
BS/BA degree in Finance/Risk Management or other relevant concentration.
Equivalency Definition
In lieu of the education requirement, a combination of relevant education and experience is accepted. The equivalent definition is 2 years of relevant experience for each full year of education required.
Experience Requirements
Required
7+ years of corporate risk management, insurance underwriting or brokerage insurance experience is required.
Must have global insurance knowledge of underwriting process, coverage placement and claims handling.
Superior proficiency with MS Office Suite, RMIS and Microsoft OneDrive and PowerApp
Must possess strong organizational skills, written and oral communication skills, and the ability to present confidently and assertively. In addition to these skills one must have a good business understanding to apply the insurance and risk financing concepts to our companys strategic objectives and goals.
