Position Description
Team member will be the point person for Ally Lending internal reporting though Power BI and Sharepoint. This role will be responsible for generating new insights to help guide the strategic direction of the business, building and maintaining reports for all levels of our organization, integrating new data sources into reporting platform, and ensuring data cleanliness and accuracy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)
* Maintain and update all existing Power BI reports
* Assist in the development and implementation of new reports, working with key internal stakeholders to help define and prioritize reporting needs
* Drive overall organization and mapping of reporting structure
* Develop training materials for existing and new team members on available reports
* Develop reporting dashboards and metrics
* Develop process for tracking report usage and determine which reports are not being used
* Produce regular and ad-hoc analyses, modeling, reports and presentations
* Support ongoing efforts to ensure integrity of and improvements to our data environment and supporting reporting tools
* Ensure data integrity and accuracy through checking values, metrics, and calculations displayed in Power BI reports
Qualifications
* Strong analytical thinking for translating and comprehending data from a variety of data sources
* Open minded and creative ability to continually identify process improvement possibilities with an "automate first" approach
* Highly detail oriented but able to step back and determine applicability to the bigger picture
* Ability to work comfortably with incomplete information and deal with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
* Collaborative team player, willing to both offer support to, and seek assistance from, peers and managers where needed
* Proactive problem solver willing to take initiative to offer solutions and identify opportunities before being asked
Experience / Education
* Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Technical, Data Science, Finance, Economics or a related discipline required
* Power BI and SSRS experience
* Proven experience with BI reporting tools such as Power BI and Tableau
* Ability to access and manipulate data using SQL, R or Python
* MS Excel and Power Point expert
* Salesforce experience a plus
* Experience with multiple data sources (Azure SQL, NOSQL, Salesforce) a plus
* 2-4 years analytical-related experience
