Applied Research Scientist, Computer Vision Responsibilities

* Apply machine learning to computer vision problems

* Conceive proof-of-concept prototypes that establish overall system performance

* Analyze and improve efficiency, scalability and stability of various deployed systems

* Collaborate with other researchers and engineers across teams at Facebook to develop experiments, prototypes, and concepts that advance the state-of-the-art in AR/VR systems

Minimum Qualifications

* Currently has or is in the process of obtaining PhD in, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Robotics or related technical field

* Experience developing real-time computer vision software in C++

* Experience with machine learning, Bayesian filtering, information theory and/or 3D geometry

* Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment

* Interpersonal experience: cross-group and cross-culture collaboration

Preferred Qualifications

* Proven publication track record at conferences such as SIGGRAPH, CVPR, NIPS, ECCV, ICCV, ICML, etc.
