The Impact Youll Make in this Role

As a Manufacturing Process Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

* Provides engineering leadership to the Aberdeen plant - Establishes a network of resources and contacts to meet business goals and customer needs
* Utilizes technical skills to compile and review information to evaluate project scope, equipment specifications and other project requirements
* Monitors product factory cost and initiates continuous improvement projects
* Leads and participates in multiple Lean and Six Sigma projects focused on product and quality system improvements
* Utilizes project management skills to organize and execute projects
* Supports site and focus factory resources with process improvements
* Drives understanding of key customer needs and monitors process capabilities
* Reports project implementation, cost and status to appropriate person

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:

* Bachelors degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
* Three (3) years of combined experience in engineering and/or manufacturing in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering
* Minimum of three (3) years working within a manufacturing and/or process engineering environment
* Minimum of one (1) year of experience with Six Sigma DMAIC approach
* Minimum of three (3) years working with cross-functional teams
* Minimum of three (3) years of experience with Minitab or other statistical software
* Demonstrated strength in engineering/technical skills
* Self-starter/self-directed that leads with high energy and passion

Travel: May include up to 15% domestic/international

Relocation Assistance: Is authorized within country per 3M relocation policy

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
