We are searching for a DevOps Engineer whos ready to help us improve our customer experience by building functional systems that bring our business to new heights. Youll be helping us to design, create and rollout the automation tools used for our development and deployment pipelines. Youll need to have extensive development knowledge programming interfaces and integrations between tools. A desire to make automated pipelines easy enough that anyone can use them. As a DevOps Engineer, youll be working in conjunction with like-minded departments such as software engineering, to use these automated pipelines from code check-ins through to deployment and everything in-between. If you get bored easily, this is the opportunity you are looking for as youll be managing infrastructure and administrating tools, as well as having an opportunity to use a diverse list of tools. Itll be helpful if you are detail-oriented and a skilled problem solver, because youll also be helping us to streamline our processes and automating them where applicable. Ideally, this position will be in Salt Lake City, UT but it is open to remote work.

DevOps Engineer Roles and Responsibilities:

* Effectively manage assigned projects as necessary while lending continuous support to the team with a good availability.
* Building and maintaining tools, integrations, extensions, plug-ins, solutions and microservices associated with deployment and our operations platform, ensuring that all meet our customer service standards and reduce errors.
* Actively troubleshoot any issues that arise during testing and production, catching and solving issues before launch.
* Test our system integrity, implemented designs, application developments and other processes related to infrastructure, making improvements as needed.
* Update our processes and design new processes as needed to optimize performance and compliance with our security requirements.
* Deploy tool updates as required while implementing integrations when they arise.
* Specifying, documenting and developing new product features, and writing automating scripts so that others may understand.
* Help establish and uphold DevOps Engineer team best practices.
* Manage code deployments, fixes, updates and related processes.
* Work with CI and CD tools, and source control. (GIT, Maven, Ant or Gradle)
* Offer good technical support where needed, developing software for our back-end systems.
* Stay current with industry trends and source new ways for our business to improve.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree or Masters in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering or a related field or equivalent experience required
* Four or more years of experience in a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
* Experience in software development and infrastructure development.
* Knowledge of scripting languages such as Java, JavaScript, Perl, Ruby, Python, Gradle, Groovy, Bash and YAML.
* Knowledge and experience with micro-service development. It is a plus if experience is with the Spring Boot framework.
* A good working knowledge and experience with container-based technologies like Kubernetes, Docker, Rancher etc.
* Strong experience with Windows and Linux-based infrastructures, Windows and Linux/Unix administration.
* Knowledge and experience with database admin basics such as SQL and MySQL and/or Mongo.
* Experience with project management, workflow tools and methodologies such as Agile, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, Scrum/Kanban/SAFe, etc.
* Two or more years of experience with at least one Deployment and Release orchestration toolsets (e.g. (Digital.ai, XebiaLabs), Octopus Deploy, Azure DevOps, UrbanCode Deploy, Electric Cloud, etc.)
* Experience in working knowledge experience with Puppet, Chef and/or Ansible for automation and configuration.
* Experience with open-source technologies and cloud services.
* Strong communication skills and ability to explain protocol and processes with team and management.
* Stellar troubleshooting skills with the ability to spot issues before they become problems.
* Current with industry trends, IT ops and industry best practices. Able and willing to use that knowledge to drive innovative change.
* Time and project management skills, with the capability to prioritize and multitask as needed.
* Solid team player.
