Job Description
Accountable for the development, implementation and ongoing management of more complex projects which typically impact more than one of the following: process, system, product and/or function and may run a year in duration. The projects for this position are to support ongoing production as well as development of new capabilities to support business managed on the NextGen platform with current focus primarily on claim functions. This role provides Subject Matter Expertise in the various claim functions we support and collaborates with other business and IT partners to resolve production issues, develop new capabilities, enhance existing capabilities and ensure workflows are in place for any processes requiring manual oversight or intervention.
-Develops and implements strategic project plan to achieve business goals
-Proactively leads project and/or business activities by setting direction, creating project plans, defining timelines, identifying key milestones, and identifying resources needed on selected project(s)
-Identifies gaps and recommends enhancements related to new and/or existing functionality, products, services and workflows based on broad view of the organization
-Solicits and evaluates internal and external customer feedback to enhance continuous quality improvement
-Facilitate sessions to develop requirements, determine solutions and resolve issues working with various business and IT partners
-Identifies issues that may stall project and addresses them by either resolving the issue or creating an alternative solution
-Tracks progress and communicates project(s) status on a regular basis to all impacted parties
-Builds communication plans for implementation to ensure all impacted parties (up stream/down stream) are informed of next steps for completion
-May mentor others
-Acts as an advocate for change-may require influencing others to see the value in project, including managing interpersonal sensitivities and articulating the strategic view to ensure project alignment
Required Qualifications
-Solid Project Management skills and experience leading large complex projects
-Proven track record in meeting project milestones and negotiating for resources
-Proven ability to affect change
-Proven communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
-Past positions required acting as a project lead and directing a team, preferably experience on system development projects
-Knowledge of claim life cycle, specific knowledge of NextGen
Preferred Qualifications
-BS/BA or equivalent experience
-3-5 years of management experience related to standards & measurements, technology, systems, processes etc preferred
-Claim capabilities a plus

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
