As a Federal Associate Technical Consultant, youll be a part of client-facing teams as a consultant, developer, or technical specialist to help businesses change the way they work.

As a Federal Associate Technical Consultant, potential job descriptions are as follows:

Application Specialist As an application specialist, youll help ensure clients applications are optimized and running smoothly. Youll gain experience in DevOps tools and techniques such as OpenShift, Jenkins, Chef, Ansible, Terraform, Agile, and many more. Youll gain in-depth knowledge of cloud platforms such as IBM Cloud, AWS, and Azure. Our application specialists are key specialists on our projects supporting both their peers and clients to meet critical milestones and accomplish our clients mission.

Package Specialist As an Associate Package Specialist, youll help clients in the selection, implementation, and production support of application packaged solutions. Youll gain in-depth consulting skills, business knowledge, and packaged solution expertise to effectively integrate packaged technology into the clients business environment such as SAP, Salesforce, RPA, Oracle Applications, and Appian. Test Specialist As an Associate Test Specialist at IBM, your analytical and technical skills will play a critical role and directly impact the quality of the software we create. Application Developer As an Associate Application Developer, you will help design, develop, and integrate solutions using best practice technologies, tools, techniques, and products our clients demand today such as Java, JavaScript, Python, and C. Youll work with clients, co-creating solutions to major real-world challenges by translating system requirements into the design and development of customized systems in an agile environment.

Cognitive Developer As a Federal Associate Cognitive Developer, youll work with enterprise leaders and key decision-makers to solve business problems by preparing, analyzing, and understanding data to deliver insight, predict emerging trends, and provide recommendations to optimize results. You will use a variety of data (structured, unstructured, IoT streaming), analytics, AI tools, and programming languages often using a cloud infrastructure to handle the volume and veracity of data streams. Armed with data and analytic results, as an Associate Cognitive Developer, you will communicate conclusions and recommendations to stakeholders in an organizations leadership structure.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

* Willingness to relocate to Rocket Center, WV (Outside of Cumberland, MD 21502)
* Many jobs within GBS Federal Sector require U.S. citizenship and/or security clearance because of government or contract requirements. If you are not a U.S. citizen or are unable to obtain a security clearance, there may be limited work opportunities for you, which may affect your continued employment at IBM.
* Bachelors Degree from an accredited 4-year institution
* While many Federal projects are located in the Rocket Center, WV area and have limited travel, candidates must be willing and able to travel up to 30% of the time, if project/business needs require.

* Preferred Majors: Computer Science, Information Systems Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Cognitive Science, Artificial Intelligence, Business Intelligence, Decision Sciences, Quantitative Analysis, or other related programs which will be obtained prior to starting with IBM
