The ABM Shared Service Center is looking for a self-motivated individual who wants to grow and take their career to the next level. This person will be given an opportunity to work as a business partner with the FP&A and operation teams and support the accounting teams Business & Property Tax functions within a shared service environment.
Additionally, you will help develop and implement process improvements for the department.
Primary Focus Areas
* Files business and property tax returns in a timely manner
* Assists with property tax audits
* Maintains and manages tax calendar
* Remits property and annual business tax payments in a timely manner
* Research tax payments
* Gathers data needed to complete property tax renditions
* Performs monthly reconciliation of tax balance sheet accounts
* Maintains filing system
* Manages annual business licenses and permits
* Corresponds with jurisdictions and municipalities on various property tax issues
* Responds to internal and external tax inquiries
* Works closely with the Corporate Tax Department that is responsible for sales and income tax filings
Minimum Requirements
Education, Required Skills & Competencies
* 4-year college degree in Accounting
* Knowledge of Oracle Fusion Accounting software highly preferred
* Must be proficient in MS Excel and Word
* Commitment to teamwork through relationship-building, reliability and collaboration
* Ability to work with different management levels and personalities
* Positive attitude with a strong desire to learn
* Must be detail oriented
