Responsibilities
POSITION SUMMARY
Therapist II -PRTF is responsible for providing therapeutic services for patients.
This position is responsible for interviewing and developing the psychological history, assessing the therapeutic needs of the individual and family throughout treatment, developing appropriate treatment objectives and summaries, and assessing patients' response to treatment interventions. Therapist II-PRTF work closely with other clinical and program staff in treatment planning and delivery of clinical services, attending all scheduled clinical staff meetings and treatment planning meetings. This position acts as the patients' and families' primary contact during the patient's stay at the facility, as well as their advocate with the treatment team. This position is also a liaison with outside agencies and individuals for the purpose of developing and coordinating discharge planning with the treatment team and family.
Work schedule is Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm and may include evenings and weekends as appropriate.

Qualifications
MINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Minimum of Master's Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work or related behavioral health field from an accredited college or university.
Experience:
Minimum two (2) years' experience in a supervised clinical behavioral health care setting specific to family, individual and group therapy with children, adolescents and/or adults preferred. For specialized issues or treatment modalities, training must be specific to these; abuse reactive, sexual offending, substance abuse, sexual trauma, vocational, play therapy, art therapy and relaxation therapy. Specialized certification in TF - CPT highly preferred.
License / Certification:
LCMHC/LCMHCA, LCSW/LCSWA, LMFT/LMFTA. Full license preferred. Compliance with state board requirements for supervised practice while pursuing independent licensure.
Physical requirements:
Medium Work - Exerting 20 - 50 pounds of force occasionally or 10 - 25 pounds of force frequently or an amount greater than negligible and up to 10 pounds of force frequently or an amount greater than negligible and up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of these for light work. Requires walking or standing to a significant degree.
