Job Summary (Purpose):

This position is 100% remote and can be worked any where on PST.

Directs and manages the overall safety program for the region, working in close alliance with the region OVP. Provides strong and visible leadership to the employees, field safety managers, front line leaders, area directors, and region management in the design, implementation and performance monitoring of safety management systems and programs. Responsible to develop and implement the regions strategy for reducing and preventing occupational injuries, vehicle incidents and liability claims. Participates in the development of safety/operational standards, procedures and policies and leads the implementation of these systems and programs to improve the regions ability to meet industry safety / compliance standards and promote the AmeriGas Safety Beliefs & Principles. Provide engineering and technical support to the regions operating personnel to resolve safety related plant and propane distribution system problems and related capital improvements. Provide direction and supervision to a team of direct reports (field safety managers) assigned to each area within the respective region.

This position reports directly to the Director of Safety, Region Operations with a dotted line reporting relationship to the respective Operations Vice President.

Working conditions:
Regional Safety Director typically has heavy travel schedule, with exposure to hazardous or caustic chemicals and outside weather conditions, along with vehicles, moving equipment, mechanical parts and flammable materials, vibration and loud noise. The employee will be working in both office and external work environments.
