SUMMARY: Tyson Foods in Zeeland has an exciting opportunity for a Sr Accounting Administrator. The candidate will be the go-to person for specific financial reporting and related tasks to include processing and reconciling all payroll related information within the plant and transmitting the information to corporate payroll. This is a multi-task environment where your attention to detail can really shine and make a difference. Hours of work will be determined by the workload necessary on different days of the accounting period.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: This position will be responsible for compiling financial and statistical data while meeting reporting deadlines. The successful candidate must be detail oriented and able to learn multiple aspects of manufacturing accounting such as basic elements of product costing, gather production and financial information to prepare weekly scorecards and provide inventory processes. Cross-training will be done in areas assigned by the Accounting Manager and Controller to include daily production posting and other duties as assigned by Controller.

Difficulty of Duties: This positions work is extremely varied and requires the interpretation of data from multiple sources and a keen eye for detail. Work activities are variable and require judgment to complete tasks such as: setting priorities, evaluating results, maintaining confidentiality and coordinating with others without constant supervision. Must have the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, spot errors and correct work on a timely basis while working in a fast-paced environment.

REQUIREMENTS: High School diploma or equivalent, Associate or Bachelors degree preferred. 5 plus years experience in accounting or related field. Requires ability to communicate with varied groups of people and intermediate computer skills which should include the full suite of Microsoft Office products. Ability to communicate in Spanish and experience with SAP and KRONOS is a plus.
