RESPONSIBILITIES:
Loads, unloads, or moves materials within or near plant, yard, or worksite, performing any combination of the following duties: Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers or material to be moved. Opens containers using hand tools. Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks and shelves. Loads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit. Conveys materials to or from work areas or storage using fork lift, electric dolley, or other device. Counts, weighs and records number of units of materials moved or handled. Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, or other containers. Loads trucks. Cleans work area and equipment using brooms, rags, and miscellaneous cleaning compounds. May operate industrial lift truck or hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
This description is not all encompassing. The successful candidate may perform other duties as required.
Required Skills
* H.S. Diploma, or GED.
* Understanding of inventory procedures and legible handwriting.
* Must be able to operate a variety of lifting/transporting equipment.
* Must have a basic understanding of computers and computer systems.
* Must Achieve Performance Levels established on the WorkKeys WIN Program.
* Ability to lift 35lbs. with proper lifting technique, occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. with assistance.
