Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Assistant Merchandiser for True & Co is responsible for assisting in product strategy and brand growth. They are responsible for helping the team with the development of the assortment, merchandise strategies and facilitating department deliverables that support in meeting these objectives.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:

* Provide day to day merchandising support to the Merchandising Manager
* Assists in product vision and building the merchandising line plan
* Collaborate with key cross functional partners on a day to day basis to ensure all short and long range merchandising strategies are met
* Responsible for adhering to calendar and critical deadlines
* Coordinate and manage samples including sample ordering, tracking, distribution and showroom set up
* Responsible for systems accuracy and maintenance of assortment tools, including seasonal Line Matrices, 7th Online and XPC
* Support with late add requests from inception through execution
* Coordinate product information for ecommerce site set up and garment hangtag execution
* Provide marketing and sales teams with product knowledge and serve as an informational resource
* Understanding of the consumer; re-search and support with competitor landscape analysis as required

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Experience: 1-2 years merchandising experience

Education: Bachelors degree in merchandising or related field

Skills:

* Extremely detail oriented
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
* Strong interpersonal and organizational and teamwork skills
* High level of analytical skills and conceptual creative ability
* General understanding of retail math
* Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds for sample management (boxes and clothing racks)
