Perform trouble shooting, preventative maintenance, mechanical/electrical checks, construction, installation, moving, repairing and preventative maintenance of all electronic, electrical and mechanical equipment and/or systems within Zimmer Biomet facilities and/or assigned department. In addition, maintain and repair heating and air conditioning equipment, ventilators, and production chillers related to production.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
nnPerform assigned Preventative maintenance plans as required (daily, weekly monthly, quarterly, annually, etc.).
Diagnose problems, disassemble, part identification, ordering or fabricating, repair and reassemble.
Requisition parts/materials needed for repair and preventative maintenance.
Install, troubleshoot and repair all electrical and electronic and mechanical equipment and/or systems. Includes CNC/NC/PC/CVD manufacturing equipment, compressed air systems, electrical distribution equipment and Clean & Packaging equipment.
Coordinate/perform engineering projects; provide suggestions and/or analysis to draw conclusions on project assignments.
Provide training to maintenance staff as needed.
Maintain, install, troubleshoot and repair all related HVAC equipment for production department
Maintains inventory of filters, refrigerant and related parts require to repair HVAC equipment
Respond to heating and cooling problems related to HVAC equipment for production department.
Inform manager when repairs need to be made by outside vendor or when equipment needs to be replaced.
Perform routine inspections and maintenance.
Operates all hand tools, HVAC equipment, electrical tools and electrical measuring instruments.

Expected Areas of Competence
nn Ability to work with limited supervision and to provide training to others.
Ability to operate all manual and power hand tools, machine tools, and electrical measuring instruments. Welding Experience preferred related to HVAC equipment.
Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
Ability to use various electro/mechanical measuring devices.
Ability to troubleshoot equipment failures effectively using proven methodologies.
Ability to wear a full face respirator and full body Tyvek suit to perform certain tasks.
Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for up to 8 hours per day.
Advanced knowledge of HVAC equipment.

Education/Experience Requirements
nn Four year apprenticeship program of Master Mechanics or Associates degree in electronics from an accredited institution or equivalent required.
PLC controls experience helpful.
Electrical/mechanical certifications through accredited program helpful.
A thorough technical understanding of functional discipline is required, which may require advanced training or education as relevant.
Must have successfully completed formal training programs on HVAC operations. Documentation or certificates will be required.
