Position Summary:
· This position is responsible for assisting in installing, repairing, and servicing all Hatchery and Egg Depot equipment. Conducts equipment service per PM schedule; orders supplies and maintains inventory; performs housekeeping to maintain a safe and orderly work environment; and coordinates major repairs with external vendors.
Minimum Requirements:
· Experience: Demonstrated previous experience in a lead/supervisory role and/or a minimum of 6 months in related field.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Aaon/HVAC troubleshooting diagnosis and understanding.
· VFD and Ventilation operation understanding.
· PLC operation and programing
· Make sure all buggies are in correct work condition, perform and maintain the PM program.
· Pneumatics operation and understanding
· Calibrate pumps for dispensing chemicals and change Single and Three phase motors as well as Low voltage and Control wiring.
· Be on-call as needed, maintains foot pans and hand sanitizer, maintain a clean and organized work area.
Biosecurity/Animal Welfare Requirements:
· The jobsite is a bio-secure environment which requires showering, changing clothing and footwear before entering the facility. Appropriate clothing and footwear is provided by the Company. No jewelry may be worn on the jobsite except for medical ID jewelry and body piercings covered by appropriate clothing. Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species (chickens, ducks, birds, etc.). Must be willing to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity and Company Animal Welfare Guidelines.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
· Physical: Must be able to lift/move 50 lbs. and must be able to push/pull 1000-1500 lbs. (on wheels). While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand majority of shift (concrete floor); walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; bend over; talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision; distance vision; color vision; peripheral vision; depth perception; and the ability to adjust focus.
· Tools and Equipment: Power tools
· Environment: Required to work on wet, slippery surfaces and also in hot, dry, dusty, wet and cold environments.
· Personal Protective Equipment Required: Safety glasses, Safety goggles, face shield, chemical gloves, waterproof apron, and rubber boots are required when handling chemicals. Ear plugs will be used as needed.
· Chemicals Commonly Used: Formaldehyde is in use at the facility, disinfectant, lubricants and virocid.
· Safety: Team Member is expected to follow all applicable safety policies and procedures. These include but are not limited to Hazard Communication, Respiratory Protection, Lock out Tag out, and Personal Protective equipment. Team Member is expected to identify, address, and mitigate safety related risks
· Mask policy will be in accordance with any local, state or federal requirements but will be provided to any Team Member wishing to wear a mask.
