Position Description:
Uses Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) practices and tools to deploy changes to customers while minimizing risks using A/B tests, blue-green deployments, and feature toggles. Designs and maintains websites, web applications, and User Interfaces (UI) using HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Executes code, collects and processes events, and completes queued sub-tasks using Event Loops. Uses ESLint, Webpack, Grunt, and Gulp to develop new user-facing features and ensure the technical feasibility of all UI/UX designs. Assists in establishing the standards for visual consistency, quality, and clarity using Visual Design and Rapid Prototyping. Simulates user interaction with Angular web applications for a range of browsers and mobile devices.
Primary Responsibilities:
Builds web user experience and underlying platforms to support digital presence.
Creates end- to-end features with multi-functional teams.
Develops and maintains Application Programming Interface (API) documentation and specifications.
Creates outstanding user experiences throughout platforms and applications.
Confers with data processing or project managers to obtain information on limitations or capabilities for data processing projects.
Analyzes information to determine, recommend, and plan computer software specifications on major projects and proposes modifications and improvements based on user needs.
Develops software system testing and validation procedures for programming and documentation.
Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.
Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.
Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.
Analyzes existing applications and functionalities to identify functional gaps and provides technical solutions to improve efficiency and modularity of internal systems.
Builds interactive dashboards, data analysis reports, and visualization using Tableau, Python, R, Power BI.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) developing and supporting web applications using front end technologies (JavaScript) in a financial services environment.
Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) developing and supporting web applications using front end technologies (JavaScript) in a financial services environment.

Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) designing and developing responsive and single page web applications in telecom and financial services domains using HTML5, CSS, GraphQL, Typescript, and JavaScript (ReactJs, Node, Express, Angular, Bootstrap, and jQuery); performing unit test automation using Jasmine and Karma; and performing end-to-end functional and regression tests using Selenium and Protractor.
DE building micro frontend Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs) with accessibility (ARIA and WCAG), internationalization (i18n), localization (l10n), and multi browser compatibility features using JavaScript frameworks (handlebars and backbone), JavaScript patterns for asynchronous operations (Promises, callbacks, event loops, and RxJs), Pub/Sub event processing framework (WebPush), and state management techniques (Redux and NgRx).
DE developing RESTful APIs and scalable micro services using Java, Python (Flask and FastAPI), and NodeJS; integrating web services with front end applications and databases (SQL and NoSQL) using JPA and Hibernate; and designing and implementing highly scalable business reporting tools using Tableau, R, and Power BI.
DE developing and deploying services in cloud environments (AWS or Azure) and supporting enterprise applications using Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools— Jenkins, Maven, Git, Kubernetes, Docker, and Webpack; using code quality tools (Sonar and Veracode) to maintain code standards; using log monitoring tools (Splunk, Datadog, and Kibana) for debugging and troubleshooting; and using TDD (Test Driven Development) practices and Agile methodologies to deliver high quality code.

History of Fidelity Investments
The Fidelity Fund was established in 1930, a year after the stock market crash of 1929 and before the Great Depression of 1933. The fund continued to operate until 1943 when it was acquired by Boston-based lawyer Edward C. Johnson II. At the time, the fund reported assets under management valued at $3 million. In 1946, Johnson II founded the Fidelity Management and Research Company, now Fidelity Investments, to serve as an investment advisor to the Fidelity Fund. When running the fund, Johnson’s objective was to buy stocks with a potential for growth, and not necessarily blue-chip stocks.
