Amentum is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join our team in West Palm Beach, FL (remote support will be considered) to support the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) mission. The Senior Software Developer will be responsible for project oversight as well as hands-on development of in-house built web-based applications and supporting primary business applications on the AUTEC project. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance. Note: U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Work through the entire software development lifecycle including requirements gathering, design, integration, user training, and application maintenance.
Analyze and understand customer requirements and software design objectives.
Develop functional specifications.
Implement secure coding practices and maintain software code in compliance with DoD IA mandates.
Architect, design, and implement .NET web-based solutions.
Upgrade existing applications from .Net 4.8 to .Net CORE.
Follow established configuration management processes to maintain source code control.
Perform code reviews.
Perform unit testing.
Participate in various other types of testing, including end user testing support.
Provide technical guidance and oversight to other members of the development team.
Train users as necessary.
Troubleshoot production applications.
Willingness to mentor and share knowledge.
Occasional travel to Andros Island, Bahamas will be necessary.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in an associated discipline or equivalent.
7 years related experience working in software development focusing mainly on the Microsoft.NET environment.
3 years of experience with ASP.Net 4.8, ASP.Net Core, and C#.
Experience with javascript.
Experience with WebForms and MVC and modern frameworks (Razor, Blazor).
Experience with relational databases.
Experience with source control systems (source safe, Git).
Working knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
CompTIA Security+ CE or certification or DoD 8570 equivalent.
Proven leadership and project management skills.
Ability to manage projects involving coordination with multiple personnel.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Experience learning systems and business models in a fast-paced environment.
Is self-managed, takes initiative, and can manage customer expectations for support.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to communicate at all levels to include management, developers, testers, and customers/users.
Occasional travel (about 10%) to Andros Island, Bahamas will be necessary.
Must be able to reside in remote work location with limited medical facilities.
Valid passport will be required.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience migrating .Net 4.8 to .Net Core is considered a plus.
Strong experience with SQL Server is preferred.
Experience with SQL Reporting Services is considered a plus.
Experience with Java is considered a plus.
