The Rich Media organization delivers cutting-edge visual media experiences, enabling Zillow customers to gain a deeper understanding of homes. Our mission goes beyond replicating the traditional home touring experience; we strive to make Zillow’s virtual tours Beth’s preferred method for exploring and making confident decisions about her next home.
The Artificial Intelligence (AI) Tools team’s mission is to enable the transformation of raw visual capture data into accessible, trustworthy rich media assets, empowering Zillow teams to create experiences that inspire confident home decisions. We own the workflows, pipelines and custom 3D rendering and editing software that helps facilitate the generation and quality assurance of rich media assets through machine learning and computer vision algorithms, as well as human in the loop QA.
About the role
A Sr. Software Engineer on the AI Tools team will be responsible for building, deploying and maintaining cutting edge 3D and 2D rendering software, as well as high volume and highly available APIs and workflows that support the generation of rich media assets for Zillow.com.
You Will Get To:
Design, code, deploy and operate both front and back end software applications leveraging cutting edge technologies that help to process thousands of listings per month
Collaborate with partner teams, including applied science teams, mobile and web development teams, and Human in the Loop (HITL) operations teams on impactful software initiatives
Conduct design and code reviews to ensure our software maintains a high quality bar
Participate and lead team agile and operational ceremonies, like sprint planning, backlog grooming, and operational hand off meetings
Triage, mitigate and root cause live system issues when they arise
This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $158,200.00 - $252,800.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Washington state, and Washington DC and may not be applicable to other locations.In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.

Qualifications:
5+ years of software development experience with React or Angular, NextJS, Javascript or Typescript, to power our web and mobile web applications and Python, Java, NodeJS, or Go for APIs and services.
Highly skilled with multiple modern development technologies used to design, deliver, debug, and maintain front-end user interfaces and back-end software systems.
