General Accounting Reconciliation Accountant

Job Summary:

Reports directly to the Supervisor and interfaces with counterparts in other global locations including project offices, and BBS Finance management as required. Will be responsible for independently fulfilling the OIR/CARR reporting activities globally.

This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and will require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership.

Major Responsibilities:

Assists in reviewing account reconciliations and works with supervisor in resolving and providing guidance on corrective action to ensure that outstanding items in account reconciliations are cleared promptly. 
Actively works with other departments and follows up on corrective actions.
Assists in application testing.
Assists in the preparation of detailed schedules and reports.
Assists and participates in General Ledger Month End Closing. 
Ad-hoc financial data analysis and reconciliation.  
Provide timely and accurate information to PwC as it relates to controls and year-end PBC requests.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Requires a University Hire with 1-2 years of experience or 5-6 years of relevant work experience?.
Basic skills in the areas of oral and written communications, project financial process controls, MS Office suite of applications (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook), accounts payable, general ledger and billing.
Must have the legal right to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

Should possess good analytical skills.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and applicable accounting Standards.
Must be dependable, punctual, conscientious, and function well in a team environment.
The ideal candidate will be flexible and adaptable and have the ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude and maintain composure under stress.
The ideal candidate must be 'self-starter' capable of working independently, taking initiative identifying and resolving issues, managing workload, and handling correspondence.
The ideal candidate must possess good organizational skills, ability to provide constant attention to detail, and have ability to apply quality control over a heavy volume of work with tight deadlines.
Basic knowledge of Oracle EBS Financials preferred.
Candidate is expected to maintain confidentiality of all information entrusted to the position.
Experience utilizing Business Objects Ad-Hoc Reporting preferred.
Experience in working with multi-currencies transactions, reconciliations, and reporting.
