Summary/General Description Of Job:
The Maintenance Inspector schedules and performs facility inspections to meet contractual requirements.
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
§ Reviews facility or system history utilizing history reports, discuss any current relevant issues with the building officer, reviewing computer/network generated work documents for any outstanding work, and determine contractual requirements for the facility.
§ Schedules and performs facility inspections in accordance with contractual requirements for that facility, and that government regulations are followed as necessary for the location of each facility or system inspected.
§ Provides overall assessment of the facility.
§ Identifies and reports all deficiencies found.
§ Identifies and reports long range potential high cost repairs, design problems and communicates concerns with interested government officials.
§ Provide recommendations to maintenance shops and government officials for repairs, projected equipment repairs, replacement costs and coordinates with other personnel as appropriate.
§ Prepares inspection reports and recommends corrective actions as warranted.
§ Prepares associated computer generated maintenance work documents by defining work scope and tasks specifying labor and materials costs, ensuring the work order is contractually sound.
§ Makes requests to the government of Indefinite Quantity work that exceeds lump sum liability and prepares requests for engineering studies (ESR) as needed.
§ Will occasionally monitor construction projects performed by outside contractors as needed.
§ Performs other associated duties as assigned.

§ Completing all mandated training requirements per government and management directives.
§ Timely and cost effective performance of duties.
§ Timely completion and accuracy of all departmental work.
§ Dealing with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations.
§ Adherence to established company safety policies and good industrial and office safety practices.
§ Compliance with company Standard Operating Procedures and Personnel policies and procedures.
§ Having the ability to work well under pressure.
Job Requirements (Education, Experience, Professional Associations):
Mandatory
§ High school education or equivalent.
§ Minimum four years experience in facilities or utilities experience inspecting maintenance, alteration, repair, modification, and minor construction.
§ Demonstrated proficiency with personal computers.
§ Valid state driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
§ Ability to successfully pass any background checks and/or drug testing required on the contract.
§ U.S. Citizenship.
Preferred
§ Estimating experience highly desired.
Wages -$36.54 per hr
