Job Description

Position Summary

Information Technology (IT) summer interns help develop, implement, and support technologies that run Parker's operations worldwide. These paid positions prepare undergraduate college students for professional roles.

Essential Functions:

Assisting team members with the deployment of enterprise technologies.
Supporting other IT team members and end-users.
Monitoring and responding to daily support tickets and calls.
Recommending improvements that simplify business processes and reduce costs.
Documenting team procedures and writing reports.
Support and drive adherence to IT security compliance. 

Qualifications:

High School diploma and currently enrolled at an accredited four-year college
Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related area
3.0 GPA or higher
US Person Status
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage time effectively and juggle multiple assignments
Ability to work both independently and on a team
Ability to relate to all levels of the organization
Ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies

This segment markets its products directly to original equipment manufacturers and end users. The company markets its products through direct-sales employees, independent distributors, and sales representatives. Parker-Hannifin Corporation was founded in 1918 and is headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio.
