Baptist Health is looking for a Research Site Manager to join our team in Lexington, KY
The research site manager is responsible for the successful execution of protocols at the site level for multiple investigators and therapeutic areas, including industry-sponsored, federally funded and investigator-initiated trials. Working in a top-down management environment, serve as an expert resource to assigned staff to oversee and facilitate the development and implementation of tools, plans and strategies for managing the clinical trial portfolio and clinical monitoring activities for clinical research trials associated with the multiple therapeutic area(s). Serve as supervisor for assigned research staff. Responsibilities include development and maintenance of research documents to ensure accurate reporting, documentation, and overall organization so the program is always audit ready. Works collaboratively as a participating member of Baptist Health Research administrative leadership team which includes, Associate Vice President of Research, Director, investigators, staff and other functional group key representatives from key therapeutic areas.
Essential Duties:
Serve as supervisor for assigned clinical research staff across multiple therapeutic area(s) and assess assigned staff on work assignments, utilization, and productivity.
Develop written performance standards for clinical trial personnel.
Provide expertise in managing clinical trial activity in individual therapeutic areas and clinical monitoring activities utilizing advanced practices to assigned staff. Provide advice and guidance to staff for assessment, resolution, and documentation of both routine and complex program and study issues.
Conduct ongoing developmental discussions for assigned staff.
Work with internal and external training resources as required; ensure that all staff assigned is current with their required training (non-study specific) including SOPs, ICH/GCP, and therapeutic -based training.
Provide development opportunities for assigned staff including coaching, mentoring, professional development and performance management.
Develop and maintain programmatic budget.
Utilization of staff and resources to support programmatic goals that align with the system overarching mission, vision, and values.
Minimum Education, Experience, Training and Licensures Required
Bachelor's degree, BS, BSN, BA in business or healthcare arena with seven years job-related experience. MHA preferred.
Certification through the Society of Clinical Research Associates (SOCRA) or Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) required, and/or obtained within 6 months of eligibility to sit for exam.
