About the opportunity

As Senior Business Analyst – Payroll Tax you will provide payroll tax and product support for Dayforce’s  payroll tax products and services in the United States. Dayforce is seeking a business analyst with experience in researching and implementing tax laws and its application to technology to join our legal tax compliance team. In this role you will have the opportunity to take the lead in addressing critical issues at the intersection of the law and HCM technology in an exciting, fast-paced company.

What you'll get to do

Provide guidance to teams from product and development on payroll tax issues related to United States payroll tax product features at all stages of the product lifecycle.
Work to define and scope large complex product requirements applying Agile methodologies.
Track legislative and administrative changes to payroll tax and advise internal teams on required updates. 
Lead cross-functional teams to define requirements that cover multiple modules.
Identify and implement controls and safeguards to remediate risks and engage or manage remediation projects when gaps are identified.
Respond to a wide range of payroll tax inquiries regarding Dayforce’s products and services.
Remain up-to-date on relevant industry laws and regulations impacting product compliance in multiple jurisdictions.
Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.

Skills and experiences we value

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
10+ years of experience in human capital management applications consulting.
5+ years in business analyst role with Dayforce.
Expert knowledge of Dayforce products, including both Dayforce and legacy products.
Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
HCM domain experience (WFM, HR, Payroll, Taxes, Benefits, and Talent).
Deep understanding of Dayforce implementation best practices with the ability to come up with creative compliance solutions.
Experience documenting compliance and business requirements.
Experience working in an agile environment and drafting use cases.
Ability to translate legal requirements into requirements for fast-paced product teams.
Exceptional critical thinking skills.
Creative problem-solver who can efficiently resolve complex issues.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the proven ability to build effective relationships with business partners.
Ability to produce clear and concise written analysis to stakeholders.
Pro-active, confident self-starter with the ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities.
Knowledge of United States and/or global payroll tax laws a plus.
