Person Memorial Hospital
This position is responsible for identifying, disassembling, decontaminating, inspecting assembling, and processing of all reusable supplies and patient care equipment used in the hospital. Practices strict adherence to sterile technique and equipment instructions to avoid infection of patient and self or contamination of equipment and supplies. Must be able to listen to instruction, translate it into activity, and reproduce what is taught. Must be extremely conscientious with regard to procedures; must be accurate and willing to follow set rules, learn quickly and retain what has been learned. Comply with PMH Standard/Precautions Prevention.
Job Requirements
Minimum Education
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent is required.
Completion of an approved Scrub Tech program.
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Must possess ability to communicate verbally and in writing, plan and organize work flow, work cooperatively with others and independently, and handle surgical control system.

Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) is required before the start of first independent assignment.
Completion of State Accredited Surgical Scrub Tech Certification preferred.
