Cardiac Ablation Solutions (CAS) is one of the Operating Units within the Cardiac portfolio at Medtronic. Reporting to the Cardiac Ablation Solutions VP, R&D this role is responsible for the management of capital equipment associated with the Affera platform.

The CAS business is projected to have solid growth and this role will be critical in enabling our business to achieve our objectives to drive innovation, accelerate product introduction and lead the adoption of CAS driven therapies in the market.

A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

OU-level responsibility for Affera capital systems (Pump, RFG, PFG, CIU and workstations including Field Replacement Units/Spare Parts) including capital configuration strategy and planning.

Partner with GOSC to ensure availability of capital systems in support of EU, U.S. and global commercial launches and the Sphere-360 IDE.

Coordination of builds and related documentation with Core Team Leaders (Workstream 1, Impedance and Sphere-360).

Communication: prioritization of activities related to Affera Capital System (aligning CTL’s, Business and GO&SC on order of execution and priorities)

Management and tracking of capital system project timelines including change orders.

Work with Supply Chain and vendors to ensure component/PCBA availability.

Provide weekly updates (daily if required) to senior leadership on supply availability and any resource needs/challenges.

Travel to manufacturing sites as required.

Position reports to the VP of R&D with dotted line responsibility to the VP of CAS Operations.

·Must Have: Minimum Requirements

·Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 15 years of relevant experience with 10+ years of managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum 13 years of relevant experience and 10+ years of managerial experience

Nice to Have:

•Experience optimizing Electrophysiology (EP) innovation and product development execution through process, metrics and best practice implementation

•Strategic thinker, strong business acumen, thinks broadly (beyond R&D), experience partnering with other business and functional leaders to drive portfolio optimization

•Highly influential leader who can navigate the matrix. Demonstrated ability to effectively work across the matrix and to collaborate and influence cross functionally

•Proven Engineering/Technology/R&D leadership

•Strong track record of execution and respect for project governance and delivery of predictability

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
