Director, HR Business Manager

News Corp, a global media and information services company, is looking for an HR Functional Business Manager to join our exceptional Human Resources organization!

This individual will be an integral member of the Human Resources team who has experience with in depth HR budgeting, advance analysis, and strong PowerPoint skills. The HR Business Manager will be tasked with working with the HR team to handle expense reporting, budgeting and forecasting. Additionally, the HR Business Manager is required to translate business requirements through analysis and design into functional solutions, and to coordinate Risk Management and Contract Management activities across the Function.

The HR Business Manager, Director will provide ad hoc support to HR Sr. Leaders on a wide variety of priorities and initiatives.

Location: USA (New York, NY)

Job Responsibilities:

* Work with the HR team to handle expense reporting, budgeting and forecasting for both financials and headcount
* Oversee the financial aspects of various high profile strategic initiatives: manage financials for transformation initiatives, establish cost allocation and departmental activities

* Gather and synthesize data in various forms by fostering relationships across geographical and functional teams

* Precisely and consistently capture business problems and solutions. Summarize this information for Sr. Leadership

* Develop high quality presentations including detailed decision making decks, high level summary decks, and detailed status reports

* Quickly adapt to changes in business strategy

* Help HR communicate solution value to key stakeholders

* Coordinate Functional Contract Management and Risk Management and ensure compliance with all company, legal, and regulatory requirements

Required & Preferred Qualifications

* Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience in a related field required
* 5+ years of HR Business Manager & Operational experience preferred

* Advanced knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.) and PowerPoint

* Ability to lead and work collaboratively within a team and have strong influencing skills

* Must be able to manage multiple priorities and complex tasks in a dynamic work environment

* Must be skilled in analytical techniques, practices and problem solving

* Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, at all levels including customers, vendors, peers, business stakeholders and management required

* Proficiency with Google Workspace

* Proficiency with some collaboration tools like SharePoint and Box

* Must be self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team

* Detail oriented with excellent interpersonal communication skills

* Excellent customer service skills
