Ensures that clinicians are prepared to be responsible for promoting patient safety and high quality patient care through clinical leadership, education, consultation, modeling, and research.
Incorporates evidence-based practice, theory, and research into various patient care settings according to patient needs by collaborating with multi-professional multidisciplinary groups; facilitating the development of hospital and department policies, nursing procedures, regulatory standards and guidelines, and research.
Acts as a community resource providing nursing orientation, education, and ongoing competency verification.
Requirements:
Current RN licensure or work permit in Kentucky.
Three (3) years of acute care experience in the designated specialty within the last five (5) years
MSN from accredited nursing program
Certification as Professional Development Specialist (PDS) preferred
Basic Life Support certification
ACLS/PALS/NRP/TNCC/ENPC certifications as required by department of assignment.
Basic Computer skills to include word, excel, ppt and asset
