As the Senior Manager of GSCC Strategic Operations, your role is crucial, blending technical expertise, strategic vision, and leadership in team management. You're at the heart of maintaining 24/7 operational excellence, offering full support to the GSCC Specialist team, and crafting ground breaking solutions for communicating significant events. Daily, you're responsible for leading high-priority incidents and supporting team standards. Your role is critical in navigating emerging events, improving operational infrastructure, and strengthening the organization's ability to counter threats optimally.

About Your Future Team

The Global Security Control Center (GSCC) is responsible for supporting emergency and non-emergency events, researching global affairs, incoming call mitigation, event dispatching, and event-driven global notification services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In an emergency, the GSCC directs and coordinates Disney enterprise assistance and support by providing technical and advisory assistance for the performance of crucial operational services, the issuance of warnings of risks and hazards, dissemination of employee information, as well as serving as the central communication intake point for Global Security.

Your day is filled with strategic oversight, collaboration, and leadership, focusing specifically on supporting the Specialist team to ensure operational excellence around the clock. Here’s how your day might unfold:

Lead the execution of the strategic initiatives with a dedicated focus on ensuring efficient 24/7 scheduling and delivering comprehensive support to the team. You will develop and refine security communication solutions and training programs, tailored specifically to empower the team.

Cultivate a culture of collaboration and mentoring within your team and among external security professionals. You will connect the TWDC with global security partners, coordinating initiatives to help develop and implement compliant and comprehensive enterprise-wide strategies.

In partnership with the GSCC Senior Manager of Business Operations, act as a key source of expertise for all GSCC operations. Offer critical technical guidance on security infrastructure improvements and management of high-priority incidents. Your shared expertise and collaborative efforts play a crucial role in upholding the safety and well-being of all company employees and executives, ensuring security practices are both robust and seamlessly coordinated with the control centers broader objectives.

Help manage and lead the Strategic Training program, focusing on the continuous evolution and application of SOPs, training manuals, seminars, and personalized tutorials for the Specialist team and partners. Your leadership in this area is crucial for maintaining high standards of operational readiness and security proficiency, ensuring that all team members and collaborators are up to date with the latest practices and prepared to meet the challenges of their roles head-on.

Lead a thorough audit system for the operations, ensuring our strategies and procedures remain effective and up-to-date.

Spearhead the creation and revision of policies and procedures that define our control center operations. Your work helps to establish the control center standards within the company ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks.
Engage with other key departments, such as Global Intelligence and Production Security, to forge collaborative security solutions that protect the company on all fronts.
As a member of the GSCC leadership team, your strategic and operational insights are vital in guiding the direction and effectiveness of the GSCC's efforts, directly influencing our security posture.

What You'll Need to be Successful:

+8 years of adaptive Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead teams through change, inspiring adaptability and resilience in dynamic environments. This includes leading by example during high-pressure situations and fostering an atmosphere where feedback is actively sought and valued for continuous improvement.
Experience working cross-functionally with various departments and teams, including the ability to bridge communication between technical teams and business partners.
Possess a comprehensive background in operations center security, highlighting your proficiency in strategic planning, integrating security programs enterprise-wide, and navigating complex operational landscapes.
Strong capability to analyze sophisticated security data and feedback from operations to identify trends, anticipate potential issues, and devise effective strategies.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, crucial for articulating security strategies, program benefits, and conveying critical incident event information to a variety of audiences, including senior executives and non-technical partners.
Proven experience in managing large-scale projects or programs, with a focus on security or related fields.
Experience in handling crisis situations, remain calm, make crucial actions, and lead teams effectively under stress.
Given The Walt Disney Company’s global operations, an appreciation for cultural differences and lead security programs with a global perspective is important.
A robust understanding of the technologies and platforms relevant to security operations is crucial, paired with sophisticated technical skills in using MS Office applications and navigating emerging platforms.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
