Job Summary
The Personal Lines Brokerage Placement Manager is responsible for leading a team of Brokerage Placement Specialists to profitable growth of personal lines business.
The manager leads growth planning and strategy with brokerage carriers and agents.
As a people leader, this role is expected to develop and coach Placement Specialists through sounds underwriting and risk management practices.
Essential Job Functions
Manages the performance success of a team of Brokerage Placement Specialists to ensure profitable growth and improved agent experience.
Manages risk selection process by providing leadership and direction to the Brokerage Placement staff.
Build strategy alignment with Farmers product leaders to ensure brokered solutions support Farmers growth and core objectives.
Uses declination data from Farmers to ensure a sound strategy around products, carriers, and agent experience.
Manages quantity and quality of work performed within Placement teams to ensure brokerage carrier expectations are met.
Works directly with carrier partners to build profitable growth plans for each line of business.
Ensure agents are submitting quality business to the appropriate channel to promote profitability.
Conducts regular performance reviews, including quarterly audits; established placement authority levels coupled with related skill profiles; takes leadership role in staff development efforts by coaching, mentoring, and appraising job results; influences brokerage culture by recruiting, hiring, and training results-driven individuals.
Uses internal declination data and market research to establish trends to identify Kraft Lake solutions that are relevant to agents. Delivers monthly executive report to be shared with Farmers leaders, Carriers, and Business partners.
Education Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience Requirements
Minimum four years of personal and/or commercial insurance experience required.
Experience with ISO forms and ACORD applications is required.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Previous leadership experience preferred.
A consultative partnership mindset as well as being customer focused is required.
Advanced problem solving, influencing, negotiation, and collaboration skills are required.
