Job Summary

We’re looking for sales-driven, enthusiastic experienced Property & Casualty insurance sales professionals to join our Outbound Sales team beginning in April 2024.

In this role, you will initiate communication with current customers and prospective customers in a call center environment through outbound calling to warm leads, positively promoting Farmers Direct Sales insurance products, consulting with customers to understand their needs, and selling those products which best fit the customer’s needs.  You will earn a competitive base salary in addition to monthly incentive earnings based upon your performance.

We provide 8+ weeks of paid training, combining virtual classroom and hands-on learning with mentoring to ensure that you have the skills you need to succeed at Farmers.  Ongoing coaching and training will remain a focus throughout your career to help you grow in your role and advance to new opportunities. 

Start date: 4/16/24 

This position is eligible for a $3,000 Signing Bonus 

You'll thrive in this position if you have: 

A proven track record of outbound sales success, with experience selling P&C products
A passion for selling and consulting, and a motivation to earn money based on your performance

The ability to stay organized and efficient, while managing multiple tasks and working across several systems throughout the day

Past success working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

Here’s what you will accomplish as a member of our team: 

You’ll initiate communication with current customers and prospects through outbound phone calls, emails or texts, regarding new sales or additional products and coverages
Contact prospects, establish rapport, and discover coverage needs; you’ll leverage strong consultative sales skills to convert quotes into policies, positively impacting the net written premium.
Qualify customers as buyers of other products/services to create cross-sell and upselling opportunities.
Provide exceptional customer service and build strong relationships, while educating customers regarding coverages and cost so that the customer can select the most appropriate option
Navigate multiple computer systems while seamlessly interacting with the customer

Experience/Education Requirements

P&C License required upon hire
1 year of phone sales experience is required
1 year of customer service experience is required
Education - High School diploma or equivalent

Experience/Education Preferred

Outbound sales experience is preferred.
Must be eligible to obtain resident/non-resident P&C license in all required states
1 year of contact center experience is preferred
Direct sales skills, and the aptitude to influence customers and close the sale 
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; the ability to adapt communication style to each phone call, and explain complex policy and coverage information in understandable terms
Strong PC and software skills required
College degree preferred
