Job Description

In this role the Customer Engagement, Program Director, has the primary responsibility of improving the profitability of ENGIE through effective management of ENGIE’s Partner Programs & Customer Retention Strategy. Specifically, you will manage ENGIE’s Partner Prepay Program, adjusting partner practices, and optimizing Indirect channel partner’s performance. Secondarily, you will manage ENGIE’s Micro Customer segment, optimizing Customer Lifetime Value and understanding the profitability drivers of this segment. ENGIE’s customer retention programs comes through our account rollover process, the Director will oversee rate increases and profitability for electricity and natural gas retention strategies. In this role you will take the lead and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels internally and externally to ensure efficient interaction and execution.

The Program Director is responsible for the communication of action plans to sales and executive leadership teams.
The Program Director will have the following direct report(s): Power Marketing Manager, Natural Gas Product Manager, Manager of Compliance, Manager Analytics, and Customer Retention Manager. 
The role will have direct and indirect supervisory authority, and will be responsible for the review of others during annual performance period
Provide thought leadership and lead team in the designing and recommending of appropriate analytical approaches and methodology in addressing key issues
Produce accurate forecasts of Broker performance based on multiple data sources, directs forecasting policies, implements business changes in the tool and provides monthly reports to Sales leadership
Direct process and system improvements required for broker commissions, works closely with Customer Experience Product Managers to understand roadmap, and request new tools and resources
Drive departmental culture and promoting data-driven decision-making, customer-driven analytics, marketing, and investment planning
Financial Responsibility drive Actions & Outcomes: With the overall responsibility to improve financial performance of the Partner Network, through detailed Program Management techniques, designed to increase enterprise value of this channel, the Program Director has a direct impact on the financial outcome of ENGIE Supply. With a bias towards action, the outcomes of your actions will be measurable and will change performance, behaviors, and amount of business
The Program Director will provide data-driven insights that inform the business’s strategic direction and KPI’s. In this position, the Director determines the acceptable amount of segment, channel gross margin, assuming specific cost to serve, and produces pro-forma profitability reports, and provide forecasts and regular updates on performance

What You’ll Bring

Minimum Bachelor’s degree in (Economics/Finance/Accounting, Industrial Distribution, Sales/Marketing or STEM with a focus on business.)
Minimum 10 years of business experience within the energy or energy services industry in the Front Office with exposure to prior sales and channel partner management, marketing, or power and gas sales
Ability to lead teams in tackling complex business analysis; dives deeply into the data, relentlessly pursues what it means, and how these insights drive decision making
Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the ability to meet multiple deadlines
Strong understanding of business and technical processes, specific accounting practices
Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
Advanced experience with Excel to interpret data

Additional Details

This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy in the Houston, TX office 
Must be available to travel domestically up to 10% of the time and with the need for some overnight trips
Must be willing and able to comply with ENGIE’s policy with respect to COVID vaccination and testing 
Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies 

Compensation

Salary Range: $128,000 – $197,765 USD annually

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
