Delta Flight Products was established as a wholly owned subsidiary of Delta Air Lines in 2017 to support Delta’s commitment to product innovation and focus on enhancing the customer experience. We set our engineering sights on developing the next generation of in-cabin features for new delivery aircraft as well as existing fleets. We bring innovation, quality, and exceptional solutions to aircraft cabin interiors, avionics, and in-flight entertainment systems.
Our Director of supply chain strategy will lead a highly effective Delta Flight Products teams responsible for strategic planning, material and services sourcing, contracting, supplier performance and business analytics and intelligence.
Job Responsibilities:
Lead the Company’s strategic planning process. Evaluate markets, identify opportunities, and establish key priorities for growth.
Oversee material planning operations. Provide inputs to design, administer make/buy decisions and build materials plans to support operational requirements.
Direct the strategic sourcing strategy for the Company’s multi-year material and services spend. Identify credible supply sources, negotiate contracts, conduct supplier business reviews, and build positive relationships to drive performance.
Administer warranty and entitlement programs with suppliers. Establish terms, negotiate claims and track recoveries to enhance value to the Company.
Direct inventory and logistics functions to drive accuracy, availability and operational efficiency.
Develop and lead a high-performing team. Hire staff, set standards, train for skill, and mentor team members to achieve objectives.
Build business cases, assign work, set goals, lead to metrics, adhere to budgets and provide inputs to company strategy.
Champion a culture of continuous improvement. Engage employees, promote empowerment, and lead change.
Develop both strategic and tactical plans that build a safety-conscious environment resulting in employee safety and well-being.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS)
Fifteen (15) years (min) of overall work experience in a supply chain or business administration role.
Three (3) years (min) experience as a leader of people in a manager, lead or supervisor role.
Must have strong business skills with experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, inventory and logistics.
Must have good technical skills and working knowledge of aerospace airworthiness standards, quality systems and reliability requirements.
Must have experience with compliance with quality, safety and environmental programs.
Must embrace the use of technology in problem solving and be proficient with a wide range of digital applications.
Must be a problem solver with natural curiosity and a passion for innovation.
Must be analytical with strong financial skills and the ability to perform research, make financial assumptions, draw conclusions and build supportable business cases.
Must be a leader and influencer with excellent communication skills and be effective in presenting and selling ideas to people at all levels.
Must be organized, self-starting, detail-oriented and an effective planner and project manager.
Must demonstrate proficiency in reading, writing and speaking the English language.

Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
