Information Technology Finance is seeking a Finance Specialist to support financial planning and analysis activities for Delta’s IT division. The team defines financial goals in balance with operational, employee, and customer goals.  The team brings visibility to the achievement of those goals in a way that drives action and continuous financial improvement.  

The Specialist's responsibilities include:

Development of rolling forecast, annual plan, long-term plan, and associated goals for IT Division 
Monthly variance reporting, ongoing financial analysis, and general finance support to the IT Division
Financial and operational trend analysis to create visibility to opportunities and drive action to capture those.
Partnership with IT and Supply Chain Management stakeholders to drive productivity initiatives through analysis of current spend and analysis of contracts for future spend.
Regular updates to support visibility for the CIO and IT Senior Leadership Team on financial trajectory.

The Specialist maintains a solid understanding of assigned business areas and related strategic objectives, reporting requirements and financial needs. The position interacts daily with IT personnel and develops relationships to maximize results. The ideal candidate will be prepared to offer solutions to streamline and automate processes.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS)

At least 3 years of relevant work experience.
PowerBI, Tableau, Oracle Analytics Cloud and/or other data visualization & analytics technical skills and experience.
Strong Excel, PowerPoint and analytical tool skills. Executes quality analytics and models.
Excellent time management skills; able to manage priorities, sequence work, and navigate tradeoffs in a fast-paced environment with multiple demands.
Clear, effective communication skills.  Distills complex ideas into simple messages and presents data simply and clearly.
Builds relationships.  Able to influence through data, engagement, and process.  Able to bridge gaps and detect misunderstandings and miscommunications.  
High level of professionalism, the ability to recognize and address problems with the appropriate sense of urgency and the capacity to work independently with minimal instruction or supervision
Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.

Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency. 
Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.

WHAT WILL GIVE YOU A COMPETITIVE EDGE (PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS)

Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline with 3-7 years of experience in financial analysis 
Experience in FP&A, Division Finance, or other division business planning functions
General knowledge of IT infrastructure and/or AWS expenses
Financial analysis and understanding of accounting and finances
The successful candidate will be responsible for practicing safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.
