The Benefit Analyst will be the sole person responsible for US health & welfare compliance and reporting. This role will also ensure that internal reporting needs will be met to accurately reflect cost and utilization of benefit for employees. Finally, this person will be responsible to create and maintain dashboard that will allow insight to trends, opportunities for costs savings and the ability to measure long-term impacts of any implemented wellbeing efforts for medical and pharmacy claims.
Job Responsibilities/Duties:
Complete reports and administrative actions including Form 5500 filings, ACA, PPCORI, plan documents, Medicare D filings, 1095, CMS filings, audits and testing
Keep abreast and ensure compliance of current state and local leave laws
Review and maintain all plan documents including SPDs, SBCs, policies, wrap document and contracts
Build and maintain metrics on all benefits and well-being costs and perform periodic report outs and create ad-hoc reports as requested
Work with manager on how to strategically target reporting and presentations.
Work with individual sites on cost containment in partnership with the various stakeholders
Create annual site budgets and assist in Domtar benefit renewals
Primary HIPAA contact, manages HIPAA training process and HIPAA audits. Ensures Privacy Officer and Security Officer are informed of any concerns
Investigate cost savings opportunities such as benefit vendor or pharmacy lawsuits, etc.
All other duties as assigned (when capacity allows, assist in other Total Reward areas)

Required Professional Experience/Qualifications:
BS/BA degree in HR, Business or a business-related field
You have a minimum of 3-5 years of benefits experience
