Job Description

Technical Innovation Research Scientist

Land O’Lakes Additives is seeking a Technical Innovation Researcher. Additive Technical Innovation Researchers own the upstream innovation pipeline and coordinate with the additive sales and technical solutions team to meet aggressive growth strategies.  

Key responsibilities:

Own innovation projects and new technology development

Develop innovation dashboards for each project area

Lead technology transfer to product managers

Responsible resource allocation to align with strategic objectives and financial targets within cross functional innovation and research teams

Engage with internal and external partners to coordinate innovation priorities

The successful candidate will meet the following requirements:

Minimum of a PhD degree in animal science, nutrition, or immunology

3+ years relevant work experience in the feed additive industry (e.g. in innovation, product development, product management, or technical service)

Strong understanding of gut health, gut receptor biology, immunity, and the impacts of additive ingredients on the health and performance of production animals

Experience in the transfer of technical information on novel feed additive technologies

Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technology modes of action in a clear and succinct manner

Understanding and experience in the design, research, implementation, monitoring and delivery of novel feed additives to the market

Aspiration to move quickly, and work within a multidisciplinary team, including demonstration of excellent collaborative skills

This position is remote (virtual) and can be done anywhere in the United States.
