Job Description

Primary Purpose

The Business Intelligence Analyst role leverages technical expertise in data and analytical tools to design and implement process improvement solutions for Revenue Accounting. These solutions will be used by the organization to improve efficiencies and make better decisions. They work closely with the Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to develop enterprise solutions.

Principal Duties:

Project Management for internal projects and tasks
Process improvements using technology and data
Provide solutions to internal customers
Automate reports to eliminate manual effort
Research, develop and help drive large-scale solutions to improve performance
Data mining using various data sources
Create routine and ad-hoc reports for business partners
Compile, analyze, and validate financial data
Design and develop interactive dashboards and data solutions utilizing SQL, Tableau, and other tools
Knowledge of Revenue Accounting data processes, systems, and data
Serve as a liaison between internal stakeholders and IT
Revenue Accounting Systems support, maintenance, and development

Principal Duties cont:

Work with IT partners on projects to support existing systems, improve processes, and eliminate manual work
Use current knowledge of business and technology in order to process, design, and present data in ways to help functional areas make better business decisions
Develop and maintain day-to-day relationships with internal and external (vendor) partners
Translate non-technical requirements into technical business requirements and vice versa
Routine tasks and audits for internal and external business partners, IT, and auditors
Communicate project status updates to stakeholders

Technical Skills:

A fundamental understanding of the Revenue Accounting applications and processes.
Strong business analytical skills with the capability of identifying, analyzing, synthesizing product use data.
Ability to connect with technical and non-technical leadership audiences effectively and efficiently while employing a high degree of collaboration and influence.
Use of analytic tools such as SQL, Alteryx, Teradata, DB2, Spotfire, Tableau, Python, etc
Proficient in Salesforce CRM

Skills and Abilities:

Strong communication skills – both written and verbal

Strong time management and organizational skills
Prioritize work as business needs change
