Project Overview

Bechtel has joined the Northrop Grumman Corp. team preparing to deliver the U.S. Sentinel Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) system of inter-continental ballistic missiles, or ICBMs, and launch infrastructure. Sentinel (GBSD) is a vital U.S. Air Force program designed to modernize the nation’s aging force of ICBMs, which make up the ground element of the nuclear deterrent. Our team’s scope will include launch system design, construction, and integration during the engineering and manufacturing development phase.  

Position Summary

Bechtel’s Sentinel (GBSD) team is currently seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to join the Sentinel (GBSD) IS&T team to support the IS&T function’s Cybersecurity (CS) program. Additional position requirements are:

Support the Bechtel Information security program for the Bechtel business network.
Support the Sentinel (GBSD) Facilities Security Officer (FSO) with the IS&T security aspects of the classified information protection program.
Support implementation of Cybersecurity controls in project’s engineering scope as required.
Designated Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) for the project

Responsibilities

Interface with Sentinel (GBSD) Helpdesk staff in the implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity requirements in both classified and unclassified environments.
Interface with the NS&E SCCM team to ensure Sentinel (GBSD) systems have required security software installed and functioning.
Interface with the Bechtel Threat Management Team to support system evaluations.
Review cyber scanning system reports and assign actions to the appropriate IS&T discipline.
Participate in incident response efforts.
Supports the project’s cybersecurity awareness program.
Participate in the creation and maintenance of project-specific cybersecurity documentation.
Perform periodic self-assessments, identify vulnerabilities in controls, create and work plan of action and milestone (POA&M) as needed.
Perform system audits to assess security related factors.
Assist with general cybersecurity and other IS&T needs to support the project.
Participate in special projects as directed by management.

Provide after-hours emergency IS&T support to the project as required.
Local travel and periodic regional travel as required.   

Qualifications and Skills

Basic Qualifications

Recognized BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university and 6+ years of relevant experience, or 12+ years’ practical work experience in information systems and technology in lieu of degree.
Possess the legal right to work and remain in the United States without sponsorship.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOD secret security clearance .
Eligible applicants must be a US Citizen and successfully go through a government screening process.
Candidates for unescorted access to Department of Defense (DOD) facilities must successfully clear National Agency Check with Local Check (NACLC). 
All employees are subject to and agree to random drug and alcohol testing as a condition of continued employment for the duration of their assignment.
The ability to obtain/maintain access to the project facilities is required.
Must be physically fit and able to work safely at these facilities.

Minimum Qualifications

Familiarity with large enterprise IT infrastructure, practices, and processes.
Strong documentation skills using project provided templates.
Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
Working knowledge of SharePoint
Working knowledge of Splunk
Experience managing MS Active Directory and Windows permissions.

Preferred Qualifications

Holds current information security certification(s) (e.g. CISSP, GICSP, GSEC, Security+)
Experience maintaining a DOD CUI program or other US federal agency’s CUI or legacy controlled information protection program.
Experience providing IT infrastructure support in a DOD classified environment.
Comprehensive knowledge of NIST 800-171.
Comprehensive knowledge of NIST 800-53.
Comprehensive knowledge of DFARS Part 252.204
Other FIPS and NIST 800 series guidance as it relates to supporting an RMF program.
Ability to collaborate and maintain solid working relationships with peers internal and external to the projects and the NS&E organization.
