Job Description

Reporting to the Purchasing Director, the Sr. Buyer, Non-Production Purchasing (Corporate Services) is responsible for deploying sourcing strategies and negotiation activities that ensure cross functional collaboration and alignment with key stakeholders to achieve optimal solutions in the procurement of facilities related services.

Position Focus:

•             Operate as a negotiator in high value negotiations with major providers in facility commodities.

•             Learn how to handle complex contracts and identify and present key aspects for clarity and focus working closely with the Legal department and the business key stakeholders.

•             Achieve facility spend related cost savings, cost avoidance, and free cash flow improvement targets for each segment focusing on strategic year-over-year savings and development of roadmap ideas.

•             Lead purchasing efforts for sourcing strategy, supplier consolidation, supplier identification, sourcing execution, contract negotiation, savings idea generation, savings performance, and ongoing performance management.

•             Increase spend under management, enforce purchasing processes, and Coupa system compliance for all bidding and sourcing activities with both internal business partners and external suppliers.

•             Ensure compliance to global and regional procedures, policies, and regulations.

•             Support internal and external quality, SOX, FOA, and compliance audits.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Management, or related field is preferred.

Experience:

•             Minimum 2 years of progressive purchasing and leadership experience in indirect purchasing. Experience in an automotive manufacturing organization is a plus.

•             Direct experience negotiating.

•             Experience in facilities/indirect purchasing environment with cross functional collaboration is a plus (legal, manufacturing, engineering, etc.)
