What you’ll achieve

As a Consultant in Corporate Security, you will be responsible for the execution of CS’ goals, strategic plan, associated policies and procedures and work programs in collaboration with the key organizational and program leadership. You will serve as the principal advisor to the Sr. Director – CS on all operational matters. You will manage, liaise and maintain effective working relationships with peer operational teams in Security and Resiliency Operations (SRO), Legal, HR, Corporate Communications, Facilities and EHS, Dell Digital (IT) and other key Business Units to address issues that span multiple mission or program areas. You will have a mandate to deliver but a prime measure of your success will be your ability to achieve results through collaborating, influencing and building focused teams.

You will:

Manage and lead programmatic initiatives and the daily operations of CS by building an open organization that aligns CS’ mission, goals, and objectives with the strategic plans of internal customers.

Monitor the day-to-day functions and operations of the various CS teams. Represents CS at negotiations, meetings, workshops, conventions, seminars and similar interactions as required.

Drive strategy development, organizational alignment, and management improvement to maximize efficiencies, agility and resiliency. Aids -- with CS senior leaders -- to determine long-term operational goals, organizational direction and structure by analyzing the business and making recommendations for changes and improvements.

Synthesize incoming operational communication traffic for CS senior leaders, and assist the team with prioritization and time to ensure coordination and planning and provide guidance related to emerging technologies, legal/regulatory trends, and security risks threats and vulnerabilities.

Assist CSS senior leaders with coordination of daily CSS operational decision points and escalations. Serve as backstops for Sr. Director – CS and pillar leadership during vacations or other extended OOO gaps as needed.

Essential Requirements

Typically requires 12+ years of security, intelligence community, law enforcement or business-related experience in a professional role with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8+ years with a Master’s degree; or 5+ years with a PhD; or equivalent experience

Ability to influence others to achieve results

Ability to prioritize projects and deliverables and to work effectively with senior management

Ability to track key initiatives and identify root causes of stalled or delayed progress

Understand technology industry trends and their effects on security strategy

Desirable Requirements

Experience in collecting security and resiliency risk topology information through a variety of methods (shadowing, interviews, surveys, reading reports etc.) to aid in the risk sensing and real time situational awareness mission of CS.

Knowledge of identifying process gaps that impact efficiency or effectiveness and how to lead in the development and implementation of plans to resolve and you will be the primary CSS interface with BUSOs. Responsible for understanding their needs and for confirming delivery expectations. Roles and responsibilities, engagement model, standardized delivery.?

Team members who live within a one-hour commute of a major Dell site location will be considered hybrid and expected to be onsite a minimum of three days per week, while the other days can be from anywhere.

Team members who live more than a one-hour commute from a major Dell site location will be considered remote but may have the option to work hybrid should they choose to, with their leader’s approval.
