The Business Platforms & Strategy team within Ad Sales is seeking a Director, Business Intelligence & Platform Analytics that will support the VP of Sales Effectiveness in driving our reporting and analytics solutions for the Ad Sales organization. FOX has made significant investments in streamlining our internal processes and delivering automation via a robust suite of technology products. With this new infrastructure in place, it is becoming increasingly critical to ensure our large stakeholder community has access to the right and relevant insights & analytics that are required to support day-to-day decisions.
The Director, Business Intelligence & Platform Analytics will partner closely with our stakeholder community (Sales Leadership, Ad Sales Revenue Management, Pricing & Planning, Finance, Ad Sales Operations, etc.) to define/design/implement these insights and iterate where needed. Priority for the Director, Business Intelligence & Platform Analytics will be to strengthen our analytics capabilities within our CRM environment; but will also require ensuring consistency in logic across multiple suites of technology products & dashboards, a detailed understanding of how data is being used, and alignment on overall priorities/timelines.
Concurrent with this responsibility, this role will work hand-in-hand with Technology to ensure the requirements are clear and ultimately delivered in a timely fashion (from initial ideation to user acceptance testing & deployment).
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Partner with multiple vendors (i.e. Salesforce, Operative, Freewheel, etc.) and Technology to oversee the identification and deployment of new data attributes and sources to the data warehouse
Work with the appropriate business stakeholders to define business requirements; develop business requirement documentation, inclusive of reporting/dashboard mock-ups and logic, for business stakeholders to review/provide feedback/sign-off on
Define the appropriate visualizations required to support the business requirement, leveraging personal experience with standard BI tools; iterate on designs with respective Business Leads
In partnership with Technology, lead the design/UAT/implementation efforts for all requests, with heavy emphasis on user acceptance testing to ensure the business needs are met
Partner with our Revenue Management team to develop and maintain a business-focused data dictionary that will be the source of all existing and future data attributes, complete with an understanding of each attribute’s logic and behavior in our transactional systems
Ensure logic consistency across all reporting dashboards
Establish and communicate appropriate priorities across all requests; provide regular visibility to stakeholder community to solicit feedback
Monitor usage metrics to provide recommendations on changes needed and/or retirement of unused reports/dashboards
Partner with Master Data Management team to ensure reporting aligns with master data hierarchy
If needed, coordinate appropriate training and documentation needs with internal Training team
Establish and maintain strong, collaborative relationships across the full stakeholder community and Technology to understand challenges and continuously recommend opportunities for improvement
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
5+ years in a business intelligence role, with specific experience in Tableau (preferred) and/or other BI toolkits
Ability to develop directional visualizations to drive conversation and feedback
Strong problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail
Strong executive presence, with impeccable communication skills – role requires regular interaction with executive leaders throughout the company
Experience in media, preferably with digital or linear order management solutions
