Business Overview:

The Global Macro business offers a comprehensive suite of interest rates, Foreign Exchange & Commodities products to address the full spectrum of our client’s needs from financing and market access to yield enhancement and hedging. Acting as primary dealer and market maker in all key markets, we offer liquidity in primary and secondary markets in government bonds, interest rate derivatives (G10 & Local Markets), inflation, FX and commodity derivatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide daily sales coverage for Global Macro products to Miami-based Institutional clients.  The key focus is on the growing hedge fund client segment.
Deliver global macro focused trade ideas to clients and engage clients in the execution of their trades.
Allocate the firms resources in the most efficient and effective way in order to help Global Macro maximize the return on said resources
Market BNP Strengths & Capabilities as well as products to clients via commentary & direct communication in order to help Developed markets maximize opportunities presented
Work within the framework of proper risk management and financial control adhering to the strictest regulatory and internal protocols
Work within team environment for collaboration, support & ultimate success of team
Coordinate with peers in London and Asia to institutionalize accounts, provide seamless global coverage and exchange information in real time about markets and clients.
Work closely with colleagues in other business lines to uncover cross-selling opportunities and help promote the firm’s brand in the US.
Grow BNP Paribas’s market share in in the Rates, FX & Commodities products by delivering first class service and solutions to clients.
Participate in all facets of moving BNPP Global Markets Americas forward in all of its strategic initiatives and growing our brand, image and reputation in the Florida area financial services arena.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Degree-level higher education
Fluent English speaker
Demonstrable success in improving ranking and wallet share with hedge funds or similar institutional clients in a financial markets sales role.
Proven driver of revenue and high return transactions
Experienced (VP/D level employee) in Interest Rate Products, FX and Commodities, including relevant local regulatory qualifications
Evidence of working independently to pursue goals
Individual must possess a true intellectual curiosity and a passion for Global Macro markets, clients and business
Strong quantitative skills and macro-economic understanding to generate active client discussion
Entrenched institutional client relationships
Collegial attitude focused on both individual and team production
Product knowledge &  scope inclusive of, but not limited to:

USTs & TIPs
Interest Rate Swaps (G10 & Local Markets)
Asset & Cross Currency Swaps
FX
Commodities

Impeccable conduct and respect for a strong compliance culture and regulatory framework
