Applicants with previous agricultural or production experience will be considered preferred. 

Applicants must reside in the United States to be considered for an interview.

Starting wage - $16.00/hour up to $18.50 starting pay

Plus, additional shift differential for evenings, nights and weekends

Processing:

Schedule:  Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday including holidays and weekends.

Hours: Beginning between 5 am to 8 am until job is complete. Typically, these positions average 40 hours a week. Work schedule is subject to change based upon production needs.

Summary:

This position is responsible for the processing of all chickens including grading, vaccination, and toe trimming.

Minimum Requirements:

Candidates must reside within the current recruitment area to include the following counties:  White, Hall, Habersham, Banks, Lumpkin
Candidates with agricultural or production experience will be considered preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Process chickens including grade, vaccinate, beak treatment (operate robot), dub males, despur males and perform toe trim. (70%)
Operate box washer. (5%)
Operate macerator. (10%)
Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice such as: operate a high pressure and regular water hose; coordinate and pack export eggs into cases; operate macerator; operate tray washer; maintain foot pans and hand sanitizers; wash boxes; pad/make boxes; operate Coccivac machine; strap boxes; maintain a clean an organized work area. (10%)

Biosecurity/Animal Welfare Requirements:

The jobsite is a biosecure environment which requires showering, changing clothing and footwear before entering the facility. The Company provides appropriate clothing and footwear. No jewelry may be worn on the job site except for medical ID jewelry and body piercings covered by appropriate clothing. Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid contact with any avian species (chickens, ducks, birds, etc.). Must be willing to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity and Company Animal Welfare Guidelines.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

During the current Pandemic (2020), all Team Members may be required to wear company issued facial coverings. Training will be provided to each Team Member specific to their job and their facility location in addition to signing an acknowledgement form they understand these expectations.
Physical:  Must use safe lifting techniques. Must regularly lift and/or move, up to fifty pounds repetitively items such as tray of eggs, etc.; tools, such as wheeled buggy, may be required to occasionally lift and/or move up to 500 -1000 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand majority of shift (concrete floor); walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; climbing/ladder usage; stoop/bend over repetitively; talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision; distance vision; color vision; peripheral vision; depth perception; and the ability to adjust focus.
Environment:  Required to work on wet, slippery surfaces and in hot, dry, dusty, wet, and cold environments.
Personal Protective Equipment Required:  Safety goggles and/or glasses, face shield, chemical gloves, waterproof apron, and rubber boots are required. Ear plugs will be used as needed.
Chemicals Commonly Used:  Disinfectants such as Synergize, Formaldehyde, Chlorofoam, Acid-a-foam, Clorox wipes, Lysol, bleach, etc.
Safety: Team member is expected to follow all applicable safety policies and procedures. These include but are not limited to Hazard Communication, Respiratory Protection, LOTO and Personal Protective Equipment. Team member is expected to identify, address, and mitigate safety related risks.
