Job Description

Are you looking for a fast-paced administrative role that supports senior leadership in a global environment?  If so, this Administrative Assistant role could be an exciting opportunity to explore.

As an Administrative Support Staff, you will provide administrative support to the Technical Service managers and department as needed .

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following…

Super User for Fiore/Ariba in the non-GMP PO process and invoice resolution.
SME for training, access requests and support to managers on shopping cart approvals, invoice approvals and any and all issues related to the PO process.  (PO/AP/Invoice).
Work with managers to administer SOW (statement of work) contracts for engineering resources that support the Tech Service functions.
Coordinate and prepare all site yearly blanket purchase orders and all site non-GMP purchase orders.
Work with vendors/managers/ GSK Link to resolve current PO balance issues, and new PO requirements.
Manage Tech Service logistics regarding copiers/printers, office supplies and seating/space in assigned office areas.
Route or answer routine correspondence not requiring supervisor’s attention.  Perform all job responsibilities in compliance with the GSK safety procedures and all applicable EHS regulations, standard operating procedures, and industry practices.

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

High School diploma/GED with 4 years experience as an administrative assistant

OR

Associate Degree in Administration with 2+ years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

Excellent communication and organization skills. 
Experienced in setting priorities, composing correspondence, collecting data and preparing reports. 
Mastery of standard software packages including MS Office. 
High proficiency keyboard skills and knowledge of up-to-date office technology.
Proven ability to handle confidential matters/data with a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
Effective and accurate, oral and written communication skills, including writing, editing and proof-reading of correspondence and documents.
The ability to communicate and negotiate with a positive and flexible approach to teamwork and the ability to interact well with all levels of the organization.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
SAP experience preferred.
