Technology co-ops & interns at GTS get the opportunity to learn about technology in a fast-paced and complex environment, while gaining real world and hands-on experience with guidance from senior leaders. Our teams utilize a variety of programming languages (primarily C++ and Java) and come from a diverse set of backgrounds both in and outside of the financial sector.
We are looking for talented Junior C++ and Java software developers with a passion for solving complex problems to intern on one of our Technology Teams:
Core Technology: Work alongside the team committed to developing and maintaining the firm's low latency platform.
Market Access: Help to augment, improve, and redesign software systems that support and monitor our trading activity in real-time.
Trading Analytics: Work on a very high-volume data-processing solution, which performs daily analysis of the firm's trading activities across all asset classes.

Examples of co-op projects include:
Build new C++ application for processing and translating realtime options market data for integration with a new trading team. Application continues to be a critical component in our production system.
Developed initial version of a stateful stream processing framework in C++ that has spread significantly in use over the last couple of years.
Rewrote networking code in a large part of the realtime risk system using coroutines and boost.asio
Qualifications
Strong C/C++ / Java programming skills
Educational background in computer science, electrical engineering or related field
High degree of organization and follow-through with meticulous attention to detail
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing
College Junior or Senior preferred
Previous internship experience working with a large code base is a PLUS
Any of the following is also a plus: Linux knowledge, SQL experience, Scripting skills and/or Database experience
