Job Summary
This intermediate level position is responsible for nominating and monitoring natural gas products under close supervision in order to manage company volumes and minimize financial overspends related to those transactions.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Nominates natural gas products
Completes nomination process for natural gas products purchased for all storage and pipeline facilities
Tracks volumes and, as applicable, confirms owner allocation with pipelines
Manages pipeline imbalance and cash out payments and/or manages natural gas inventory as applicable
Determines natural gas volumes available for sale each month
Reviews monthly gathering and transportation invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance of contracts
Provides data pertaining to allocations to management and other internal clients as needed
Prepares production forecasts as needed for transportation service providers
Performs other duties as assigned
Job Specific Skills
Intermediate knowledge of pipeline nomination processes, electronic bulletin boards, pipeline tariffs, gas contracts, commodity markets and pricing
Ability to work within a dynamic, fast-paced and business critical trading environment
Strong attention to detail and able to meet strict guidelines
Intermediate analytical and communication skills, and proactive problem solving abilities
Ability to be on-call and work weekends as necessary
Education
Minimum: High school diploma or GED
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree - from accredited university - Accounting, Finance or related field
Experience
Minimum: 2 - 5 years related work experience
