Primary Responsibilities:

This is a leadership role first and foremost with the responsibility and oversight of our team members on the COLI/BOLI Processing team. This position will report to the Corporate Vice President of Case Management with oversight of the COLI Relationship Management team, the BOLI Relationship Management team, and the COLI/BOLI Processing team. Areas of responsibilities and oversight include people development, BOLI workflow management, COLI workflow management, and managing projects relevant to this team’s discipline. Responsibilities for this role include:

Providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship to professionals
Prioritize team workload to ensure all commitments to our clients are met in a timely manner
Quality review the data inputs from your team (i.e. new premium, inforce processing review)
Quality review and sign off for policy related disbursements
Maintain processing procedures for all transactions falling within team’s discipline
Support the team by reviewing ‘outside the box’ questions and provide timely answers
Proactively identify risk within the organization and propose solution for mitigation
Interact with Accounting Department, research problematic accounting and assist with resolution
Organize and facilitate training for direct reports
Ability to assist team with questions regarding premium tax calculations (i.e. Recapture Ceiling, NPT, 7-Pay capacity, GDL capacity)
Project management and support with strong prioritization skills
Support business improvement initiatives

Strong computer skills; proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access

Ability to manage a heavy workload and be a self-starter  
Experience within the COLI and BOLI industry preferred
Experience with COLI and BOLI plan designs preferred; i.e.: Split Dollar, Deferred Compensation, and 162 Bonus Plans a plus

Education:

Bachelor’s degree with 5-10 years equivalent related experience
FINRA Series 6 designation must be obtained within 12 months of hire   
Professional designation or working toward a designation such as FLMI; obtain Loma 1 and 2 within 12 months of hire
