Dow's Logistics and Site Logistics operations include the management of logistics assets and modes of transportation and technology. It supports the flow of material into Dow for manufacturing and on-site logistics, and to our customers globally. Logistics employees are responsible for the handling, moving and storing of materials in a safe and cost-effective manner.

About You

We are looking for a Senior Site Logistics Improvement Engineer located in Hahnville (St. Charles), LA.

In this role, you will serve as a vital resource for site logistics by applying technical and organizational skills to drive the plant level continuous improvement program targeted at delivering maximum value from the assets, while continuously improving process safety and production efficiency. Requires expanded conceptual and practical knowledge in own job discipline and broadens capabilities.

Also, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

Possesses in-depth process technology and continuous improvement skill sets helping to establish credibility with the site logistics team.

Drives knowledge exchange with technology experts to increase awareness of potential improvement opportunities for the technology.

Champions the “next unplanned event” exercise for the plant and ensures potential solutions are captured in the appropriate prioritization system.

Serves as the implementation arm of the technology center.

The critical competencies required for success are: Interpersonal effectiveness, understanding customer needs, team work, taking initiative, problem solving skills, value creation, technical proficiency in use of computer applications, analytical skills and project management skills.

Required Qualifications

A minimum of a Bachelor's degree or relevant military experience at a U.S. E6 rank or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or higher.

A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States.  No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

Preferred Qualifications

A degree discipline in Engineering.

Prior experience in a manufacturing or supply chain environment.
