If you are a sales professional with process analytical experience looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in Houston, TX, you will lead the sales efforts for an exciting Gas Analyzer product line by interfacing with a dynamic team of sales and engineering professionals. This is a REMOTE field-based position located within the assigned territory.

As a Process Gas Analyzers (PGA) and Quantum Cascade Laser Analyzers (QCL) Business Development Manager, you will:

Area Product Sales Leadership. Assists in providing training to the NA direct sales channels to ensure high levels of product/ application expertise. Communicate and facilitate implementation of business unit sales strategies within all sales areas. Participate in project pursuit and account penetration planning and execution. Provide direction on target accounts based on business unit segmentation strategies.  Support local trade show participation. Maintain and communicate knowledge of competitors, strategies, and products. Spend at least 35%+ of time traveling with sales persons and face-to-face with customers. Provide pricing authority for major projects.
Product Line Planning. Provide feedback to divisions on products. Provide input on product competitiveness. Suggest new products and/or enhancements to existing products. Coordinate new product field testing. Coordinate new product introductions and training.
Strategic Planning Input. Coordinate factory resources needed. Provide input on major competitor strategies. Identify regional market opportunities for measurement products. Communicate and support business unit strategies within the area. Provide ongoing feedback on the success of strategy implementation.
Participates in forecasting activities and maintains responsibilities for achieving established sales goals.
General Business Support. Monitor pricing and discounting. Monitor customer satisfaction levels and provide specific recommendations for improvement. Ensure divisional quality plans are understood and followed. Develop and provide measures that provide information on company performance in the area

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

Bachelor's Degree
Six (6) years of industry experience; three (3) of which must be in sales or marketing
30%-40% travel
Legal authorization to work in the United States

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

4+ years of hands-on experience in selling, using, or servicing Gas Chromatographs or process analytical instruments
Knowledge of process analytical sample systems
Proficient with PC programs such as Excel, PowerPoint, Webex, Zoom, and Teams
Comfortable presenting to groups: internal & external technical training, sales presentations, internal business presentations
Able to enter and do walk-throughs of industrial work sites
