As a Real Estate Specialist, you will provide support to C.H. Robinson’s +/-130 North American offices with the opportunity to support material international projects as well as support the Eden Prairie, MN corporate headquarters.
In this role, you will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders at various levels to help support the management of our global real estate portfolio. You will do this through analyzing current and future real estate options, assisting with project buildouts and coordination, identifying process improvement opportunities, supporting offices with just in time issues that may arise, and, on occasion, conducting RFP processes.
Our hybrid work model of 2 days/week in office and 3 days/week remote puts you in the driver’s seat to best navigate all that your busy life demands.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with Real Estate Manager and the real estate brokerage service vendor in supporting the portfolio of 250+ branches globally.
Support the business in analyzing options for consolidation, moving a location, closing a location, or opening a new location. Work with real estate brokerage service vendor to supply necessary real estate data to leadership to develop recommendations for formal decisions to be made.
Support the Real Estate Manger in the development and implementation of the international real estate transaction process.
Assist locations with issues that may arise relating with their leased space.
Analyze real estate data and complete summary to share within the department and other leadership to allow formal decisions to be made.
Assist with conducting real estate and related vendor service-related RFPs, including documenting and summarizing the process followed to assist in final decision.
Manage Lease Administration software, database, and vendor to ensure database is up to date.
Support the management of the Lease Administration vendor, to include defining and refining processes, as needed, collaborating with Accounts Payable, and addressing ancillary questions and issues.
Manage Landlord correspondence and notices.
Serve as an internal point of contact for corporate departments and assist on ad hoc projects and requests.
Partner with internal partners (legal, business leaders, IT, HR, Investor Relations, Corporate Development, etc.).
Other duties or responsibilities, as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
Minimum of 2 years of professional commercial real estate experience
Experience working with real estate lease related documents and processes including construction build outs
Ability to travel up to 10% (domestically and internationally)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a de-centralized organization with multiple physical locations/branches/offices
Experience with procurement and RFPs
Ability to adapt to dynamic business environment and drive an initiative from ambiguous beginnings through definition and fruition
