Job Overview:
Responsible for providing engineering support for fleet operations, including trailer design, operation, maintenance, and documentation. Provides technical support related to fleet operations to various internal groups such as Field Operations, Safety and Environmental Services, Sales, Customer Service, and Logistics. Manages new trailer fabrication program, including capex process, budgeting, and supplier management. Responsible for working with new trailer manufacturers to gain payload gains through optimization while increasing reliability to drive down life cycle costs of the trailers. Drive the standardization of trailer build to create a one design for all manufacturers. Works closely with other Linde business units to share best practices, recommendations, and fleet engineering support as needed. Supports Procurement Group during equipment purchase, fleet maintenance contract procurement, and purchase of service parts.
Primary Responsibilities:
Update trailer purchase and rehabilitation program specifications
Create and review specifications for critical distribution components
Create operational and maintenance procedures for equipment and technologies
Manage new trailer capital purchase process and vendor performance
Participate or lead Root Cause Analysis activities for distribution related items
Support vendor qualification and auditing program
Identify and participate in projects that improve distribution efficiencies
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or 10+ years of documented relevant experience
5+ years Fleet Operation experience
cryogenic experience a plus.
